Join us for the State Association of Kansas Watersheds 76th Annual Meeting on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 2-3, 2027, at the Wyndham Grand Executive Topeka (formerly the Hotel Topeka at City Center), 1717 SW Topeka Blvd., Topeka, Kansas. We will follow our 2026 format, featuring a special watershed event at the Kansas State Capitol. The SAKW Board of Directors will contact Watershed Districts in the coming month. They will ask districts to share local projects through picture displays and informational exhibits.

Tuesday, February 2, 2027

• 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM: Registration (Wyndham Grand Executive Topeka)

• 9:10 AM – 10:10 AM: Welcome and Keynote Address

• 10:30 AM – Shuttle departs for the Capitol

• 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM: Lunch and meet-and-greet with legislators at the Capitol

• 1:00 PM – Shuttle departs the Capitol to return to the hotel

• 1:45 PM – 5:00 PM: Business meeting and afternoon presentations resume at the hotel

• 8:50 AM: Meeting reconvenes

Registration Details

The fee covers meeting materials, shuttle service, and lunch.

We are emailing invitations to all legislators. We encourage you to personally invite the legislators from your district whom you plan to meet with at the Capitol. Please encourage local watershed districts not yet involved in SAKW to join us and attend the annual meeting.

Also, please contact Executive Director Sarah Diamond or any board member by October 16, 2026, with ideas for session topics or issues to discuss. 

The 2027 dues are being mailed separately to Watershed Districts. Dues are a $400.00 base fee plus an assessment of $5.00 per 1,000 drainage acres within the district, up to a maximum assessment cap of $1,500.00.
